Swim for Life Preschool

Preschool 1 - Preschool 5

Ages 3 - 6

Swim for Life Preschool is a five-level stand-alone program that allows swimmers to enter various levels based on age and ability. The Lifesaving Society Preschool program develops an appreciation and healthy respect for the water before kids get in too deep.

The LSS structures their preschool program to ensure 3 to 5-year olds become comfortable in the water and have fun acquiring and developing a foundation of water skills. They incorporate Water Smart® education, and survival skills in all Preschool levels.

Owner and Instructor (Swim for Life & Bronze)

Teagan

Hi! My name is Teagan and I instruct and run Ashburn Summer Swim. Since I was a baby I have loved the water and have been swimming for as long as I can remember. I have been teaching swimming lessons for almost 10 years now and I have loved every second of it! I have experience teaching kids from 0-18 and even teach the occasional adult! I am currently in my Masters in Developmental Psychology and hope to become a child Clinical Psychologist one day soon.

I strive to offer lessons that are accessible to everyone regardless of physical limitations or other concerns and have a vast experience teaching children of all abilities, and learning needs.  It is my goal to not only help kids find a love for swimming  but also to teach them how to make safe and responsible choices around water.

I am certified with:

Lifesaving Society Instructor (Rookie Patrol-Bronze Cross)

Gillian

Hey, I'm Gillian, but everyone calls me Gill! I have been teaching swimming for four summers now and always look forward to seeing all my swimmers every year! I have worked for the Town of Whitby as an instructor/guard, and the University of Guelph in the fitness centre but most enjoy the connections I make running backyard lessons. I am currently completing my undergrad in Criminology and Political Justice and hope to work in the Police Force as Coast Guard!

I strive to offer lessons that are fun, technique driven, and individualized to my specific swimmers needs. I have experience teaching kids from 1-18 and have a knack for working with the kids with high energy. I love connecting with my swimmers and making sure they have fun while getting the most out of their experience.

I am certified with:

Teagan is amazing with any age and skill level. She helped my quiet child with their confidence and kept my energetic one engaged in what was needed to be accomplished. I look forward to next year!
